like audio files, midifiles have meta data that could be searched (tempo, timesig etc...)

Does Windows Explorer support these meta data values in midi files?

Hi, i dont think so. But the windows media player can read them as it plays the midi. So there is inside windows a Dll or an API that has ability to read these data which are a bit tricky to isolate. I will try a powershell script to make sure explorer can read them or not
