I'd like to filter which zip files to search in addition to the filter on what to look for within those zip files.
Use Case: I have many zip files I'd like to search within but there are some I do not want to search due to their size. I have some drive images zipped (50 GB or more) and if TreeSize attempts to search those, it eventually errors out.
Thanks for the reply. Does the size range here apply to the file within the zip file or the zip file that is being searched?
I thought this only was for the file within the zip files searched.
In the example, it applies to the file in the zip file. My idea was: If there is e.g. a zipped VHDX-file accompanied by a text file in the zip, it doesn't hurt to search the text file, but you don't want to search the harddisk image. If that does not cover your use case, can you please provide more details about your use case?
With more complex rules you can get closer to what you asked originally, see the attached screenshot.
This is already possible. You may either exclude certain zip file by adding the rule "Path" "does not contain" "MyZipFile".
Or youmay exclude large files generally from context search by adding the rule "Size" "
