I was surprised the Detail tab I can't see all the file names. I have to expand each folder. I would like either a separate tab (file detail tab) or option to show file names to something where I can see a listing of all file names without clicking into each subfolder. I would like to see the detail so I can sort by date or whatever to find a particular file. Maybe a tab where the file name is first then the directory listing then the file details. Then sort by those stats. I was quite disappointed that I can't see file level detail without having to manually drill down into each folder.

Would be good to have a 'File View' available as well as folder view.
This would allow sort/filter by file attributes - then very easily exported/selected/deleted by file rather than folder

So by a "view by files" you mean a flat list of all files in a directory branch?
And this view you want to filter e.g. for all object files? Did I get this right?

Thanks for sharing this feature request with us. Unfortunately I do not fully understand what you mean. Would you please be so kind and supply us with some more information on why you need this feature and how you would use it? We would like to know in which role you perform your task, what you want to do, and why you need to do this / what is the final goal. You may use the format: As [role] I want to ... so that ...

Treesize collects folder->files and presents as folders.
Once collected, it would be useful to list all the collected files, by file rather than by folder.
This allows to easily find attributed files (e.g large) that are spread across multiple folders.
Having large _numbers_ of unnecessary files in multiple folders can hide significant wasted space and it can be a pain to go to each folder in turn.
A drive that is used for dev work can have large numbers of object files spread across many folders. Together these can be a large amount of space that is wasted for all time except when linking the objects into a program.
They sit around forever, because being spread through the folder tree, thus divided, they never show a significant size foot print.
I was a BIG fan of XTREE (back in the day) - I would strongly urge you to find a copy and check it out. I can send a short vid if I can find it here - if that would help.
Thanks,
Guy
As a developer, I want to list collected files by file as well as by folder so that I can easily delete large numbers of unnecessary (possibly small) files (spread over multiple folders) _by type/size/etc_.
Together, large numbers of small files of same type can take a lot of space that can't easily be cleaned when looking at folders.

Does this mean you want a flat list of files of an entire directory tree?
Extremely Upset
Yes please
